Moving Up Within Bloomington

Sell the home you have outgrown and buy the one you need, with both moves planned together.

Moving up in Bloomington

Many Bloomington owners want more space without giving up the location. Our office is here, and I'm Lesley, a REALTOR® with Bridge Realty.

How do I move up in Bloomington? Plan the sale of your current home first, including the city's Time-of-Sale inspection, and decide whether your next home will be on the east or west side. Because Bloomington is largely built out, you will most likely buy an existing home.

Two things specific to Bloomington

  • The Time-of-Sale inspection on the home you sell. Schedule it early, so required repairs do not delay both closings.
  • Updating versus moving. With little new construction, some owners add on instead. We can show you what larger homes nearby have sold for, so you can compare the cost of each path.

Coordinating the two closings

We set the order with your lender. See move-up buyers, selling in Bloomington, and our Bloomington page. Nearby, we also work in Edina.
