Talk About Buying Land
Two directions to search
South of the river, Lakeville covers more than 38 square miles and still has open land, though it is growing. North of the metro area, around Princeton, Mora, Stacy, and Stanchfield, the price per acre is often lower. We can show you both.
Before you fall for a parcel
Ask about legal access, zoning, soil, drainage, and any lease that stays with the land. We gather those answers from the county and the seller.
What to check on any parcel, and the details of the state's down payment grant, are on our farmland and acreage page. If you also need a house, see buying a home in Bloomington and our Bloomington page.
Send us a message with your acres, your budget, and your plan for the land, or call (651) 661-4770.

Bloomington
What farmland looks like in Bloomington
Bloomington is a city of about 90,000 on the Minnesota River, 10 miles south of downtown Minneapolis, next to the airport and home to the Mall of America.
Our office is in Bloomington. The city is split by Interstate 35W into a more residential west side and an east side with more business and retail.
- The homes
- A large, fully built city, so most homes are existing homes. The city requires a Time-of-Sale housing inspection when a home is sold.
- Getting around
- Interstate 494 runs across the north side and Interstate 35W runs north to Minneapolis. The Blue Line light rail connects the Mall of America to the airport and downtown Minneapolis.
- Nearby
- The Mall of America, the airport, Hyland Lake Park Reserve, Bush Lake, Normandale Lake, and 97 parks and green spaces.
- The trade-off
- Some homes are near the airport, so visit at different times of day to hear the flight paths.
