Neighborhoods around lakes and a town center

Maple Grove was founded in 1858 and incorporated in 1954, and it has been growing ever since. Its neighborhoods are organized around two things: the lakes and the Arbor Lakes district.

  • Lake neighborhoods, near Weaver Lake, Fish Lake, Rice Lake, and others.
  • Homes, townhomes, and condominiums near Arbor Lakes and Main Street, within reach of shops and restaurants.
  • Newer subdivisions and new construction. Bring us to the model home from your first visit, because the sales consultant works for the builder.

In a neighborhood with an association, we review the dues and rules before you make an offer.

Parks, lakes, and shopping

  • Elm Creek Park Reserve. At 4,900 acres, the largest park in Hennepin County, with paved and mountain bike trails, a nature center, a swimming pond, and a winter recreation area.
  • Weaver Lake Park. An 80-acre community park with a public beach.
  • Central Park. An interactive fountain in summer and an ice skating loop in winter.
  • Town Green. A park on Main Street that hosts concerts and outdoor movies.
  • The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. Known as Minnesota's first lifestyle center, an open-air shopping district.

Maple Grove Hospital opened in the city in 2009, and Boston Scientific is one of its largest employers.

Commute and schools

The commute. Interstates 94, 494, and 694 meet at Maple Grove, and Highway 610 and Highway 169 serve the north and east sides. That access is convenient, and it also means the interchange is busy at rush hour, so we look at your actual drive before you choose a neighborhood.

Schools. Osseo Area Schools serves most of the city, and Wayzata Public Schools serves part of it. Maple Grove Senior High is located in the city. Confirm the schools for any specific address with the district.
